The classic Rolling Stones’ song, ‘Time is on Our Side’ belies the brutal truth. Time relentlessly marches on and leaves its mark on our faces, bodies ...and emotions.
But there's hope! Psychologists suggest ways to keep our emotions rejuvenated and subtle.

The global anti-aging market is estimated to be worth about 58.5 billion U.S. dollars. The average American women spends $300,000 on beauty products over her life time. A search for ‘How to prevent wrinkles,’ shows nearly 40,000,000 hits. Serums, masks, oils and creams stand ready in our cabinets to ward off the evidence of accumulated birthdays.
We’re armed with our lotions and potions. We’ve had the prescription for long life ingrained in us: eat right and exercise. But we’re more than organs , muscles and bones. We have an entire inner ecosystem that needs the same TLC as its bodily housing.
You’d think that with all the knowledge we have, money we spend and effort we make, we’d be a happier bunch. But we don’t have to look far to find the many crabby, bitter, aging people amongst us - sometimes I even see one in the mirror!

Life takes a toll that shows. Disappointments happen, tragedy strikes, illness visits. It takes intentional effort to keep life from wringing all the joy-juice right out of us!
Sure, there are anti-aging regimens and routines to help our bodies, but I'm interested in ways to fortify my emotions to help them age well too.
